The video is not stretched, it looks fine. The audio is good to (there is music going with the action and some talking at the very end).
I havent watched the movie yet, i just skipped through to test it, so I cant say if its good or not

@goodfilms is just one annoying motherfucker, try being more constructive.
this copies okay, you can change the aspect ratio closer to the original using VLC, there is a little bit cut off the bottom thats annoying. and a screener warning pops up a lot.
but its more than watchable, its an amazing movie, the video quality is decent and the sound/music is fine.

really annoying as it removes the dog's face on the table in the breakfast scene...

would have preferred leaving subs in...

My Pirate friends. I've seen this film. It is REALLY a silent movie (almost). And I was amazed, this film could have been made 80-90 years ago. OK, the soundtrack sounds a lot better than old films off course. If you're looking for CRASH, BOOM and BANG you'll probarbly get disapointed. But if you're looking for an amazing experience, this is a film for you. It ought to win OSCAR for best:
Achievement in Art Direction
Achievement in Cinematography
Achievement in Costume Design
Best Achievement in Directing
Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Score
Best Motion Picture of the Year
Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role (or Geoerge Clooney)
Best Writing, Original Screenplay (maybe Bridesmaids will surprise)
That's my humble opinion.
And yes, Meryl Streep will at last get her third Oscar. She doesn't play Margaret Thatcher (The Iron Lady) she IS Margaret Thatcher.

Not to take anything away from this film, but the Oscar's should have two winners for Best Film.

A. Best film that sold under 20 million
B. Best film that sold over 20 million

That way some much deserved popular movies could be nominated, along with these great under the radar films
The Oscar's would also gain more viewers and popularity due to the nominations of films that people have actually seen or heard-of

Well I'm off to see this movie, hopefully I like it

Yes, it is silent... but like all silent movies there are inter-titles displaying moments of dialog at proper times and they WILL BE IN A NATIVE LANGUAGE.

So it DOES matter what version of this movie you download.
